Best Practices for adding new products
Adding new items to your inventory
When creating your products you will want to keep in mind that “searching” for them will be one of the main uses of the system. The naming convention is the searchable field. We have determined that using a color/adjective/noun works best.
COLOR – We suggest sticking with primary colors when you are naming/describing your products as there are so many different shades and you will have a photo to refer to. We also use the word “Multi” as well as metal colors, i.e. silver, gold, pewter, etc.
ADJECTIVE – Use a descriptive word such as fringed, paisley, shiny, corduroy, etc.
NOUN – What the item is!

Helpful Hints:
- If you buy wholesale, you can screen shot their stock photos to put in Stageforce and also get dimensions and descriptions from vendor websites.
- When you are taking photos use the top 2/3 of the frame because the Product images in Stageforce are square.
- Create a photo studio by hanging a dark sheet or shower curtain to photograph light items and a white sheet/curtain for dark items.
- To add multiples simply create one “Product” and add multiple RFID tags to it (i.e. 20 of the same dining chair).
