How do I find the starting number for my next tag order?

How to Find the Starting Number for Your Next Tag Order

Use your highest existing tag number to choose a new sequence that does not overlap with tags already in your Stageforce account.

Before you order

Tag numbers must be unique within your Stageforce account. Do not reuse an old, missing, sold, or deactivated tag number. Your safest starting number is the next number after the highest number already shown in Tag Manager.

Find your highest tag number
  1. Log in to Stageforce.
  2. Open the Menu in the upper-right corner. In the mobile app, tap the three-line menu.
  3. Select Tag Manager.
  4. Under Sorted by, select Number (high-low).
  5. Note the first and highest tag number shown.
  6. Add 1 to that number. This is the starting number for your next tag order.

Example

If the highest tag number in your account is 1000, enter 1001 as the starting tag number for your new order.

If you order 200 tags starting at 1001, your new tags will be numbered 1001 through 1200.

Check your previous store order

If you created an account in the Stageforce online store, you can also review your previous orders at stageforce.com/account/login. Your order history can help confirm the last sequence of tags you purchased.

Your Stageforce store account and your Stageforce application account are separate. Checking Tag Manager is the best way to confirm the highest number that already exists in the application before placing an order.

Place your order

Visit the Stageforce Store, choose the tag type and quantity you need, and enter the starting number you calculated at checkout.

Review the company name and starting number carefully before submitting the order. RFID and QR tags are custom printed and encoded, and tag orders may not be refundable.

Helpful tips
  • Use the next number after your highest existing tag number, even if there are gaps in the sequence.
  • Do not restart at 1 or reuse numbers from sold, retired, or deactivated items.
  • If your tags use a letter prefix, keep the same prefix only when continuing that exact sequence. Check Tag Manager for conflicts before ordering.
  • Consider ordering slightly more than you currently need to allow for new inventory and replacement tags.
Confirm before checkout

Return to Tag Manager, keep the list sorted by Number (high-low), and verify that the starting number in your cart is one greater than the highest number shown.
