How to transfer items from one warehouse to another?

Transfer Items Between Warehouses in Bulk

Move multiple tagged inventory items from one Stageforce warehouse to another in a single action.

Watch the video tutorial

Before you begin

- The destination warehouse must already exist in Stageforce.
- Bulk transfers are completed using individual RFID-tagged items.
- Select All Items On Page selects only the items displayed on the current page. If your results span multiple pages, repeat the process on each page.

Transfer the items

1. Open the Inventory Dashboard.
2. Go to Warehouses.
3. Select the warehouse where the items are currently located.
4. Expand Available Products to view the active tagged items in that warehouse.
5. Use the filters to narrow the list, if needed.
6. Select the checkbox for each item you want to move. To select every displayed item, click Select All Items On Page.
7. In the Action dropdown, select TRANSFER to another warehouse.
8. In the Destination dropdown, choose the warehouse where the items should be moved.
9. If the destination warehouse uses sections, select the appropriate Warehouse Section.
10. Review your selections, then click Confirm.

Stageforce will update the selected items so their current location is the destination warehouse.

Verify the transfer

Return to the Warehouses list and open the destination warehouse. Expand Available Products and confirm that the transferred items appear there.

To transfer a single item from one warehouse to another:

1. Go to Inventory and find the item you wish to move
2. Hover on the photo and click into the product name to open the details page
3. Open the Tag Section - select the tag to move
4. Click the pencil icon for the dropdown box and choose your new location

If the item is moved to a property of a Project it is marked staged.

You can also use Move & Manage from the project dashboard -- select the item and use the action dropdown and destage it to the destination warehouse or transfer it to another property.

Helpful tips

- Use filters before selecting items when you only need to transfer a particular category, product, or group of tags.
- Repeat the transfer for each page when the filtered results span multiple pages.
- Transferring an item changes its warehouse location. It does not deactivate or delete the item.
- If the destination warehouse is hidden, transferred items may also be hidden from project selection until they are moved or the warehouse’s products are revealed.
