New item financials

The financial information you enter effects the your reports and analytics.

FINANCIAL
To input accurate pricing using the inventory system, please fill out the following financial fields:

1. Purchase Date (if unknown use today’s date makes it more valuable!)
2. Purchase Price (what you paid for the item)
3. Working Value (the value, above your cost for determining sale or rental prices)

• Working Value: Dresser bought wholesale for $200 the MSRP is $480 = Working Value. Say you were gifted a 60” round oak dining table. You then spend $60.00 to have it refinished- your purchase price is $60.00 yet the Working Value could be $1,200.00 so that your sale and rental prices reflect the true value of the item.
• Stageforce calculates a rental and sales price of each item (Sales or Rental Report for each Listing) based on the Working Value. Category Level in Settings: Your system came pre loaded with the percentages of 15% for Rental Price and 120% for Sale Price based on the Working Value input. These percentages can be customized to the pricing in your region. Go to – Settings- Categories. You can override the Category setting for each product as desired.
